Personalized Pilates and Movement promoting Embodiment and Well-being

 

 

 

Private and Group Sessions in Pilates or Movement
Private sessions are 55 minutes and tailored to address the unique needs of the individual or the group. Pilates is a body conditioning routine that helps to improve core control, coordination, balance, and posture through body awareness. Emphasis is on precise alignment, breathing and efficient sequencing of movement. The goal is to use effective movement strategies to promote the overall health of a person. 


My specialties include:

Injury Prevention and Rehab

My comprehensive studies in dance, anatomy, kinesiology and somatics fuel my ability to design programs that are healthy and helpful for the body to prevent injury and to promote the healing process.

Pre- and Post-Natal
I have 2 children and used my Pilates and somatic training to prepare me for birth and to facilitate return to my dance performance career with strength and poise. Currently, I am completing a Pelvic Floor Certification with Leslie Howard.

Movement for Dancers
Being a professional dancer my entire life, I managed to stay almost completely injury-free during my career I attribute this to my physical practice in dance and Pilates, my intimate knowledge of kinesiology and body mechanics, my studies with Neuromuscular Re-Educator Irene Dowd, and my somatic studies in Alexander Technique

Movement for Singers
Inspired by my teenage son’s love of music and singing, I have been working with singers to tune the body for vocalization and performance. Breath and vocalization are a movement practice!
